We got back about noon today. We spent the night in Paducah.Has anybody heard from Jorge and Bud? Did they make it home?
Hopefully Jorge got a shower before climbing into his Whinneeeeebago..
Ride safe, Ted
Glad you made it home safely.I had a great time. I was new to the HMR, and was impressed by the venue, and I am appreciative of Cliff and his wife's efforts for making it such a success. It was a pleasure to meet a number of attendees for the first time, and see some familiar faces there too. The riding was awesome in Arkansas.
It was a rough ride back to Minnesota yesterday, after spending another night camping in Missouri. High, gusty winds starting after I left my campsite, all the way through Iowa, then rain added to that when I entered Minnesota. I don't wish to ever deal with that kind of riding again!
Thank you!
I parked my trailer on the east side in 2024 so as not to have the generator bother the tent campers. This year I went to the west side because of the level ground, and ended up bothering the tent campers. The east side is fine but not very level, so bring plenty of cribbing.Should some small miracle were to happen & we do this again, there will be a few changes. One being the west side/pasture will be designated two wheels only; the eastside will be 4 wheels plus. So, plan to bring a golf cart old man or make a really long walk to food & shower.
One question: I spoke with a younger (than me) member at breakfast who works at a bicycle shop. I work at a bicycle factory and my bosses are always looking for new outlets for our wares and/or trusted shops where we can refer customers for repairs.
I would like to send him some of our literature but, of course, neglected to write down his name. Thoughts?
And he is not that young!!That would be Gary Mazzola, he is the NC AD.
