Mounting charger in left blank?

I think I have read that some have mounted a USB charger in the blank left of the instruments. I believe a few have done so but can't find any info. I know there is some metal behind it. Any info appreciated. Thanks

I mounted one and there is metal and it is a difficulty fit.
Easier location is mount it in in the black/left/upper fairing (beside the glove compartment area).
Easier to install and EZ access while riding.

Ride safe, Ted

One of these spots?

It isn't THAT hard to put one in the space next to the adjuster. Yes there is some metal there, but nithing a Drexel couldn't handle with a steady hand. I wired mine to a hot slot on my auxiliary fuse box. That way it can keep charging my phone/ or GPS while I'm having a pit stop. Lunch or gas; or gas from lunch.... sorry couldn't resist.

So you centered it on the molded circle, cut the plastic and then just dremeled out what you needed? I could handle that.

Yep, used the area Ted suggested for my auxiliary light switches

I like that location, (and it might be a better choice) but I was suggesting the side of the firing.
ie; The side that faces the fork tubes.

NOTE: I put mine in the blank that he was originally considering. Works great but a bit more work than I anticipated.
