Maintenance on new to me 08 Versys

This past fall I picked this 08 up with 19k. Going through it to do valves and was disappointed to find this.

Well that sucks. At least the screen was there. I had the transmission replaced in my roadmaster years ago. Mileage around 160,000. I discovered later that the shop removed the air filter (WHY??) and didn't replace it. Grrrrr. Anyways, it's got about 210,000 and still going strong. I'd hate to see what you discovered, but it must not run too bad or you wouldn't have bought it. Keep your chin up. It might not be as bad as you might conjure up in your head.

Thanks Bud. It runs great, all will be finel. If not I always enjoy more displacement šŸ˜ƒ
