Hello everyone.
I'm Pat.
I'm from Montreal, my bike history goes R80/7, Guzzi V11, Tiger 955, Tiger 800, 450exc-f, Guzzi V85TT, and now I just sort of inherited a 2002 C10 with 35000miles on it from my aging in-law who hasn't been able to ride for a few years.

It's been sitting outside a while and it needs A LOT of love.
As in, brakes, bearings, fork seals, carb rebuild, clutch cylinder, rear shock, paint over some corrosion, rear shock, liquids etc. and a few ods and ends.
The good news is the engine got a full rebuild about 10 years ago, barely ran after that, and even after sitting years and with 5 year old gas in the tank... She started right up...

What follows will probably sound sacrilegious to some... But I already have a touring bike and I always wanted to try my hand at a cafe type thing build... So I decided a relatively free bike would do as a platform. She needs a lot of maintenance parts, but nothing too major. It's not the best and easiest platform to work with, but I know that engine is pretty sweet.

Today I took all the fairings off, removed the tank, carbs and air box etc. She nekkid now.
I ordered a bunch of parts but found I have a few more to order (those fork seals are CRUNCHY!)

So I figured the best place to get info and help when it's time to put her back together would be a good forum like this one, so here I am.

PS: She was the silver kind, and I'll have a bunch of fairly well preserved plastics to give away I reckon. So hit me up if maybe you desperately need some.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Welcome Pat!
You've come to the right place for all things Concours. Too bad you weren't getting rid of plastics when I was in Montreal for the F1 race a couple of years ago. Best food we had the whole trip was poutine topped with brisket at Schwartz's. Man that was good!
